It all started over 20 years ago on a small ranch in Fort Ord, California. We transitioned the land from a military base - a tank driving practice area - into a thriving organic farm. That first ranch was just 320 acres and, now today, we along with our growing partners have approximately 5,000 acres of certified organic land in California, Arizona, and Mexico, with more progression every year. Organic farming is an vital component of who we are.
At Pacific, our company commitment is not just to organic farming, but to the wholesome, sustainable agriculture system that preserves and improves our precious natural resources, like air, soil and water, as well as conserves the harmony of our fragile ecosystem. Our organic farming practices enhance the biodiversity, increase soil fertility, and preserve surface as well as ground water.
All ranches and facilities engaged in processing, cooling or storing of our organic produce are annually inspected and certified by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) and/or other USDA accredited certifying agents. CCOF provides certification services to all stages of the organic food chain and certifies to the USDA's National Organic Program standards and CCOF international standards.
